CARBON CAREER & TECHNICAL INSTITUTE – ADULT EDUCATION CENTER The CCTI Adult Education Center provides quality educational, career and personal enrichment opportunities to the adult population of Carbon County and the surrounding areas. The AEC is committed to expanding programs offered on the basis of interest and need. A variety of day and evening programs are offered in the health medical field, air conditioning/refrigeration, cosmetology, electronics, safety inspection mechanic, machine technology, forklift, welding, residential wiring and plumbing. We also offer ABE/GED and literacy programs including: GED preparation and family literacy. On-the-road drivers’ training is available for high school students to obtain a PA Driver's License. A free career guidance program is available for single parents, displaced homemakers, single pregnant women and those individuals in transition. The Adult Education Center operates an on-site daycare serving children 3 months through school age. A summer camp program is also available for school age children. An office is available at the PA CareerLink® Carbon County to offer job seekers assistance with application completion and submission, resumes and employment related letter writing. Individual appointments are accepted and various seminars are offered at the PA CareerLink® Carbon County on a monthly basis. Information/application process for these services: Staff assisted services and applications are available at 77 West 13th Street, Jim Thorpe, Monday through Friday, 8:30am to 3:30pm.
