Carbon County Workforce Training is accepting applications for the 2008 WIA Summer Youth Employment Program. The program is designed to provide work experience to youth, ages 14 to 21. These are summer jobs at local non-profit, government and community based organizations throughout Carbon County. Job duties vary depending on worksite assignment. Some of the positions available are: Clerical, Maintenance, Laborer, Medical/Health Care, and Recreation. Applicants must be residents of Carbon County and meet eligibility requirements of the Workforce Investment Act.

Applications are being accepted for the Pennsylvania Conservation Corps. Serve - earn - learn skills in carpentry, masonry and landscaping. Requirements: PA resident between the ages of 18-25.
