RURAL OPPORTUNITIES Senior Employment Services ProgramRural Opportunities is a non-profit organization that offers employment services to low income adults 55 years of age and older. We offer job referral and the opportunity to learn, work, and serve others. Our local staff will help you refresh your job skills and re-enter the workforce. You will be assisted in gaining the experience and confidence that you need to find permanent employment. Supported Work Program Rural Opportunities develops an Employability Development Plan for each participant of this program to insure a successful employer/employee match. Employers can benefit by hiring participants of the Rural Opportunities Supported Work Program by qualifying for: on-site job coaching, possible on-the-job training where Rural Opportunities will reimburse up to 50% of the hourly wage for up to four weeks if the job is paying a minimum of $6.50 per hour and on-site follow-up to insure job retention.
