HUMAN RESOURCES CENTER, INC. (HRC) We are a nonprofit organization working in conjunction with the PA Office of Vocational Rehabilitation and the Carbon-Monroe-Pike MH/MR program. Our agency offers a variety of services including the Community Integrated Employment Program (C.I.E.) which is designed to assist people with disabilities in finding, securing, and maintaining a job. Employment Specialists and job coaches work fluctuating schedules to accommodate employee/employer needs in Carbon County and beyond. When a client has been referred to us, we review their background, interests, needs, and work history. Next, through a series of community based assessments, we evaluate their ability to work competitively in a local business. Once the client demonstrates the necessary motivation and skills to succeed, we begin an employment search. When a job opening is identified, we review the job description and conduct a careful evaluation of the work site to ensure it matches our client's special needs, abilities, and goals. HRC assigns a coach to assist with actual on-the-job-training. Coaches 'fade' as the new employee gains skills, confidence, and independence. The coach then becomes available on an 'as needed' basis for such services as helping the client assume additional responsibilities by learning new skills or providing advocacy.
